The story
A Silicon Valley charity arrives in the Kenyan village of Kogutu and promises every adult a monthly income for twelve years. The film stays long enough to watch what that money actually does — to a family, a school, a local journalist, a village's idea of itself.
I worked on positioning and festival strategy, shaping how a story about economic policy could be sold and read as human portraiture. It premiered at Sundance and travelled to Hot Docs before landing with MTV Documentary Films.
