My Name is Gitta

Gitta's life survives in fragments: a deportation list, a visa refusal, three photographs, a letter that never reached anyone. The film assembles those fragments into a person.

I dug through archives in Vienna, Budapest and Paris, cross-referencing testimony against immigration records and family correspondence, then worked as story editor to give the recovered material a shape an audience can hold.
